Training Needs Analysis | ^ Top

Training and development initiatives within the health sector have traditionally targeted the clinical and technical needs of industry employees.

Whilst this is to be expected, there is an increasing need to develop more consistent practices and meet minimum standards. Real change will not be sustained if these broader skill requirements are not identified nor developed.

With competing demands on Executives to attain performance improvement and meet higher benchmarks, having a planned approach to training will make the process more manageable and achievable.

Effective performance in the workplace relies as much upon the employee?s ability to communicate and get along and work with their team.

Our objectives for the identification of training needs are to:

  • Establish a profile of the skills and personal attributes required by the organisations, both now and in the future.

  • Identify the current skills possessed by individuals at different levels in the organisation, in order to expose the skills gap, i.e. critical areas in which training is required, and the level at which subsequent training should be pitched.

  • Identify common problems and challenges that people face at different levels in the organisation and that impact their performance.

  • Develop an appropriate and cost effective strategy for meeting the training needs of the organisation. This will include recommendations for various training solutions and approaches in order to meet the needs in a flexible and practical way. We will also provide advice on how training can be interlinked with existing performance management systems.
